Share a Trade Review and Strategy

The June meet up will feature individual trade reviews and strategy explanations.  There has been some good interest in having a meeting devoted to trade reviews. So lets do it this month. I will bring a few of my recent trades and will detail the complete strategy including the exact entries and exits. And if 3 or 4 other members do the same, we should have a great meeting. So please bring a trade review (or two), with you.

Personally I love these type of meetings because we not only get to see the diverse trading methods of our members, but also how all trading strategies have specific building blocks in common that we all must use. This is particularly valuable for new traders that may feel overwhelmed, but also great for experienced traders looking to expand their trading opportunities

DC area active traders of stocks, options, forex, futures, etc. join us for discussion of techniques and tools, tips and ideas. Bring charts or data from recent trades and developing ideas for input. This is a great place to meet other experienced active traders. Several of us communicate throughout the month sharing tips and ideas. Tap into the network. Please RSVP via this meetup site so we can reserve an appropriate space.

    Crits,
If you are trading on news....I am not sure any indicator will work. However, at least have a short term and a long term MA showing because news can be created.....(generally, all news is "created" nowadays) whenever price approaches a MA. If you are a short term trader......I find that the 39/8 combo works well in the index futures....especially when the market is going up, and this can tend to drive most prices.

The Gasoline futures presentation has been posted in "More" and "Files". I enjoyed presenting it and hope somebody finds it helpful.

I have traded the Bollinger Bands for many years. I knew John Bollinger when he was just a rookie on MSNBC years ago. Since then he has improved the Bands in many ways. One thing to remember is when there are three price moves within the band and the band touches the outer rim (either up or down) don't be surprised if there is a retracement back to the middle line (the 20 EMA) and if there has been much travel in the initial move, price is likely to go to the opposite band, where one would exit. The stop for this move would be just outside the outer rim.

I noted a mistake; When there are 3 price moves within the band and PRICE touches the outer band.......

Can you make a living just trading off one indicator? Instead of 2 or 3? Or do I need to use multiple just in case I am not getting any reading on my primary indicator? I always trade around the news/fundamentals.

Successful traders detail their day-trading strategies and engage fully with the audience. Very well done Carl and Robert. Thanks!

Took six months off day trading during a course of medical chemotherapy. What are best ways to get ready to restart trading the future indices besides improving my health.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
