RE: [daytraders-134] Trading - the only way I know to daytrade equities is with less than 25k, is to work with a proprietary trading firm where you are a sub account and trade the firms capital. as far as margin accounts yes, you can have a margin account with less than 25k. New Tax ON Traders - As many of you know by now, our Congress Critters are messing with the markets again. This time by applying a 0.25% tax on Net Purchases _and_ sales. In other words, a $10,000 stock buy and sell will cost us $50 on top of everything else! Below is a Miles Feb 19, 2009 2:41 PM
