Yoga inhibits the release of stress hormones like norepinephrine, and it can make a real difference in peoples lives. There has been ample research showing that both yoga and meditation elicit the relaxation response, which, in addition to repressing stress hormones, slows breathing and heart rate, improves immune function, and releases feel-good chemicals such as serotonin.
In this workshop session you will calm your mind, relax your body and lift your spirit in a soothing and therapeutic way. Each of the poses will use several yoga props to help you take away the stress, anxiety and emotional tension that accumulate in your daily life. The poses are held from 5 to 15 minutes. No yoga experience is needed, so bring someone with you and help them to experience this deep form of relaxation!
