FIFA CONFEDERATIONS CUP - BRAZIL June 15 thru 30, 2013 from six cities in BRAZIL, the host nation for next summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The Confederations Cup is a competitive international tournament featuring champions of the six FIFA Confederations – CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football), UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), CAF (African Football Confederation), CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation), AFC (Asian Football Confederation) and OFC (Oceana Football Confederation) – and the upcoming host BRAZIL and past winner of the FIFA World Cup.
It is now contested every four years and it is held one-year prior to the FIFA World Cup in the nation hosting the World Cup tournament. Hence, the Confederations Cup matches will be played in six cities in Brazil – BELO HORIZONTE, BRASILIA, FORTALEZA, RECIFE, RIO DE JANEIRO AND SALVADOR.
