POMILI and his Orchestra will present “ConcerTango - Recordando a Piazzola” his premier CD in honor of Argentine jazz composer Piazzola which recently sold 10,000 copies in New York City.  During this concert, Roberto will play with Raul JAURENA, master of the tango and one of the most prominent bandoneon player world-wide. 

 

 

Italian performer and composer Roberto POMILI is considered one of the best Tango/Flamengo double bass players of his generation. His personal musical style has developed throughout the years as a result of his interest and experiences playing gypsy, tango and flamenco music.

Since 1995 he has had the pleasure of performing in some of the most important concert halls in the world including: Concertgebouw (Amsterdam, Holland), Queen Elizabeth Hall (Antwerpen, Belgium), Palais de Beaux-Arts (Bruxelles), Theatre Auditori (Barcelona, Spain), Teatro alla Scala (Milan, Italy), Barbican Exhibition Hall (London, England), Thailand Cultural Center (Bankok, Thailand), Grand Theatre Shanghai (China), Seoul Arts Center (Korea), Cultural Center New Delhi and Bombay (India), Roy Thomson Hall (Toronto, Canada).
