What else would you like to tell our group about yourself?

I have searched and found relatives from my grandfather's side, in Palermo. We have visited back and forth many times and keep in touch by Skype, e-mail and facebook.

How did you learn about PIAZZA ITALIA - The Washington, DC Italian Language & Culture MeetUp group?

A friend mentioned it to me when we discussed finding a group of people who speak Italian so we could practice what we are learning. Unless you speak, you don't retain what you learn.

What is your favorite Italian book/author, Italian film, Italian song/musician, Italian food, Italian city?

C inema Paradiso, pasta normana, Palermo, Taormina, Cefalu

How long have you been interested in the Italian Language and why; at what level do you speak Italian; are there any other languages you speak or have an interest in?

I have been interested in talian, learning it properly and speaking it for 6 years. I understand most of what I hear from people who speak it but am at the beginner level in responding. Love the language that my nonna spoke to me as a child.

Introduction

What Patricia L. is saying about this Meetup Group

Would have liked to enjoy a "critics corner" after the film. More detail and comraderie afterwards. Perhaps a glass of wine and some nibblies.
