I really need to take a course in Italian - just haven't made time for it. I have all the ingredients to be fluent - I just need to immerse myself and study it a bit at the same time! : ) Also, something interesting about me: I grew up as a Catholic (of course) but now I am an Evangelical Christian - it's a good story. What's yours?
Why the Second Almighty of course: Google! ha ha
Who doesn't love Bocelli and the film "Life is Beautiful"? I love true Italian eggplant parmesean: Thinly sliced eggplant, lightly fried and layered with a simple red sauce and ricotta salata cheese - I just cannot easily find that cheese even in NJ! I imagine it would be near impossible here! : (
I understand my family's dialect and I speak it enough to make my conversation understood, but my verb tenses are probably often wrong. : ) I understand true italian moderately. I love visiting my relatives there and always appreciate meeting fellow paesanos here in the states. I also do fairly well in spanish. Moderate in english. ; )
Piacere di conoscerti! My name is Jennifer and I just moved here from NJ - and I'm missing my Italian roots there. My parents were both born in Sicily so I'm pretty well immersed - but now I've moved!
