What else would you like to tell our group about yourself?

Teaching high-school and SAT Vocabulary reawakened my love of Italian, since I use an etymological approach. Now semi-retired, and a licensed DC tour guide, my long-term goal is to work in Italian (letting Italy visit me back).

How did you learn about PIAZZA ITALIA - The Washington, DC Italian Language & Culture MeetUp group?

A simple Meetup query.

What is your favorite Italian book/author, Italian film, Italian song/musician, Italian food, Italian city?

Authors: Eco, Pirendello, Primo Levi,a few poems by DiMedici. (and my uncle) Film: La Vita e Bella, Cinema Paradiso, Italian-American films Foods: Italian food uses vegetables and pasta well, balancing the meats.

How long have you been interested in the Italian Language and why; at what level do you speak Italian; are there any other languages you speak or have an interest in?

I've always been interested, but did not have the time before now. I'm a little surprised at how quickly some things come back.
