What else would you like to tell our group about yourself?

I teach English and recently ran a non-profit in Germany for 3 years.

How did you learn about PIAZZA ITALIA - The Washington, DC Italian Language & Culture MeetUp group?

From browsing through the MeetUp groups.

What is your favorite Italian book/author, Italian film, Italian song/musician, Italian food, Italian city?

Food: ravioli, gnocchi, manicotti, pasta e fagioli City: Firenze

How long have you been interested in the Italian Language and why; at what level do you speak Italian; are there any other languages you speak or have an interest in?

I've been interested my whole life. My mother used to read I Trei Orsi to me when I was young. I started studying the language in high school. Now I speak at an intermediate level. I am also fluent in Spanish and speak German at an intermediate level as wel. And there's French, but I understand more than I speak.

Hi, my name is Chris. My great-grandparents all came from Italy around the turn of the last century. I still have relatives there whom I visited last year. I love the Italian language, food, and calcio (soccer)!
