Safety instructions translated by a non-professional translator? Uhmm. You might be interested in learning about title 7, it-s a law that protects us, hispanics, against non professional translations. I am a translator for the world bank so I am aware of these things and the risks you are incurring. Let me know if you need a link or any further information. Cheap can be expensive! Just trying to help. Thanks. Maria

A good friend of mine is involved with the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, specifically with the Fire Department, and she wonders whether any of my Spanish Language groups would like to volunteer there for an hour at about 7pm translating the safety instructions into Spanish.

She says "For coming and translating the one-hour safety presentation, they would get a shirt and free admission to the Fair and free parking."

Here's the link Montgomery County Agricultural Fair
There's lots to do at the Fair, good food, rides, fun and games, things to learn about too!

The dates are 14-22 August; I don't know if we're needed every day; maybe we could do shifts? Anyway, contact me if you're interested!
