Downtown Dog Walk Weekly Meetup

The original and still my personal favorite, Sunday night Dog walk. During the colder winter walks this a one to two hour walk around downtown with a stop for hot drinks along the way. When it's warmer we'll be sitting down for dinner with the dogs at a variety of local pubs and restaurants. Parking for this meetup will be at the white river state park parking lot or the museum parking garage. When there is an event downtown (Colts game or concert) parking is generally offered at the zoo for free. All other times the state parking lot uses unattended pay machines. No one who has forgotten to pay has ever received a ticket or a tow so this may only be enforced during the week and the aforementioned special events. In the case of special events we will generally start a little later so everyone has time to walk over from the zoo using the foot path and bridge. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, we walk in EVERYTHING but rain. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask. My phone number is in several of the archived meetups and the groups message archive as well. Can't wait to see everyone there!

Hey Stephanie, I volunteer for a NFP that may be able to help you, if you are willing to continue to foster until a match is found. I can also help with simple vetting item if needed. I'm going to try and make the dog walk tonight,9/22, with a Weim foster and one of my forever kids. Talk to you then:)

Hi Wendy, I have no problem fostering this sweet boy. My biggest concern is getting him vetted. I have fostered before for Indy Homes for Huskies and understand the commitment. I'm probably just going to bring Charlie since he's shy and needs a little socialization. I can be reached at[masked]

I'm very sorry but I'm not going to make it afterall. My Husky has hurt himself and is in pain. Not sure if it's a spider bit, pulled muscle, but it's affecting left side of his neck. Will try again next week.

Hi all, I'm bring my two Huskies and a hound, lab mix? I rescued off 31 up north after almost getting hit twice. I haven't been able to locate his owner. No tags and not chipped. I'm currently unemployed and can't keep him or even get him vetted at the Humane Society. I'm looking for a forever home for him. He's about 70 pounds and just the sweetest thing ever. He's quiet and loveable. My vet thinks he's between 5-7 although he looks like an old boy. He appears well taken care of and I've been searching all the lost dog sites, but it seems no one is looking for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
