Welcome to the newly reorganized DFW Apache LAMP Group...formerly "Dallas MySQL Meetup".
You can find further information about this group @: DFW Apache Lamp Group.
Our first meeting since "re-org" will be held Monday, Dec. 7th, 2009, at Brookhaven College. Your Organizer, Tish Wood, will be speaking on Intro to MVC Architecture - "Home Brewed" using PHP. This subject will lay the groundwork for specific implementations of MVC to be presented in future meetings. MVC architecture has been hot for years, but has become an almost mandatory expertise for job-seekers wishing to succeed in today's RAD marketplace. MVC is an acronym standing for Model-View-Controller technology.
Tish is also the Organizer of the Greater San Francisco Bay Apache LAMP Meetup Group which meets at Sun Microsystems' Santa Clara Campus in Silicon Valley....and is a veteran of the Silicon Valley Startup Industry as well as a past Continuing Education Web Technologies Instructor at a local DFW community college. Tish will likely be resuming his teaching career in a local state University Continuing Education Dept. starting in January, but does not want to reveal more info until all the "paperwork is done".
Although, we will normally adhere to a custom developed in our sister San Franscisco Bay group...which allows the speaker to make their presentation undisturbed, we will be relaxing this custom for the first meeting as it is targeted to people new to MVC architecture.
Look for the 3-story science building drawn in pink and marked "X" at top left-hand of the map found at:
