We had a good turn out. The majority of folks were new to big data and the group in general. In the future I'd like to have a bit more structure to the meetup and a focus for the evening's meeting. Otherwise I had a good time and was happy with the turn out.

Joshua, while it might be too late for this session, I would be open to working through a few suggested use cases that we have seen in the field related to big data, ETL, stat analysis and possibly geo spatial or predictive analysis. Lets connect at the session on Thursday. Steve

Joshua, if you are still looking for topics, I would suggest this topic: "Moving from Traditional DWH to Big Data what does it mean for developers and testers that work in traditional platforms today"

Given that no one has a suggestion for a speaker or topic of discussion for the evening. I have decided that this will be primarily a meet and networking meeting. I am new to the group and am most interested in meeting you all and finding out more about your day to day interactions with BigData.

I was considering having snacks and refreshments. Are chips, salsa, veggies, dip and maybe a cheese tray alright with everyone? Please let me know if you have any special requests that I might accommodate.

I look forward to seeing you there!

We are 2 weeks away from the meeting and I have yet to hear from anyone on specific topics of discussion or points of interest for the evening. I'll be planning material next week for the meetup. Feel free to email me any ideas, questions or concerns you may have. [masked] I look forward to meeting the group in a couple weeks!

Hello everyone! Since I'm new to this group and BigData I'm still working on getting together content for our meetup at the end of the month. Does anyone have topics they would be interested in discussing or hearing more about?

Is this one really in Irving?

Yes it is. I was afraid no one would want to come but it looks like a few people have RSVP'd so at this point things will continue as scheduled. I look forward to meeting all of you in a few weeks!
