Introduction

I do analytics for a travel management firm. Still trying to convert them to data driven management.

What is your interest in BigData?

In recently studing for my MBA I discovered I was very interested in Big Data. I work in the Travel industry. Even though we have lots of data, it hasn't traditionally been used. Its really hard to get people to let me have the data for analysis, and then be willing to listen to what the analysis has to offer.

What would you like to learn about?

I enjoy hearing how the data is analyzed. I'm interested in the research side. I'm also interested in hearing how people present the findings to upper management.
