I work as a software consultant and data analyst at Teknion Data Solutions in Irving. We specialize in custom Data Warehouse Design/Architecture, Front-End Software Development Data analysis using Tableau and Tableau Data analysis mentoring.

What is your interest in BigData?

My interest in BigData is recent. My newly chosen career path has not only required me but challenged me to stretch my understanding of the evolving IT landscape and what its future holds. Our progression both as an industry and a more technically competent society our needs adjust. Previously we just need things to work. Yet, we have reached a point where understanding why business, technology and people behave or react certain ways is calculable. We just need BigData to refer trends and norms based on pattern analysis. I want to understand the world I live in, so as more and more data is collected across all industries I'm more capable of analyzing and working toward understanding.

What would you like to learn about?

I'm most interested in finding what data is out their currently. What data is being collected. How that data is mined and stored, as well as the popular and suggested methods for analyzing such large sets of collected information.
