Feb Spades

  • February 14 · 6:30 PM

Meeting at the IHOP on I-30 and Eastchase parkway.  It is in the same shopping center area as the Target supercenter.  Of course if you do not RSVP but are able to make it come on out.  Better to have you there without an RSVP than not there at all.  But RSVP is helpful to give estimate of attendance to IHOP prior to evening and new people are more likely to come out if they see a number of people who have RSVP'd than if it looks like nobody is coming.

I will as usual have plenty of decks and scoresheets. All you need to do is show up. Come with friends or by yourself. You should have no trouble finding a partner as we usually have a dozen or more people in attendance.

Some have expressed interest in playing but have little or no experience. No problem. Come out and just have a good time.  We will teach you whatever you need to know.  Our people are always willing to help out people new to the game or taking it back up.  If you would like personal instruction/assistance let me know when you arrive.

If you cannot make it for the beginning remember better late than never. Come on out. There are usually several of us who keep playing until midnight or so.

Sometimes our numbers do not divide evenly by 4. In that event some may need to be willing to play a 3, 5, or 6 player game. Your understanding is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about Tasha. Understand a loss like this takes the fun out of a lot of things. Look forward to seeing you next time.

Dave, I'm so sorry. I know how difficult it is to loose a great companion. :-(

Thanks for the kind words about Tasha. What a sinking feeling when you go in for a stress test and the doctors say they are operating on you in a couple of hours. I had a heartbeat of 30 that is way below normal (60) but my new pacemaker has me up to 80 beats above normal now. Life is great

I enjoyed playing spades with the group, but the food wasn't up to par.

I had a great time. I was tired when I arrived but I enjoyed the three ladies I played with so much that we played three games.

Perfect day. Gives you a chance to see if that potential spouse loves spades and is a keeper. And if married how better to celebrate than playing spades?
