Are you currently making plans to transition into a tiny house?

Definitely interested, but plans are on pause. Thought I could do traveling service or therapy, but that may be later down the road. I love my 'little' cottage home, but it is a LOT of maintenance and expense for just me. I am wasting rooms, yard.. I have too much house. I would also love to have a more 'green' home but it will be costly and more work to upgrade my current home. I'm still between a home or maybe an RV or bus conversion. When it is right the stars will line up. My other thought was to build a tiny home in my backyard to live in and rent out my 'small' home. So far the city seems to be putting a kibosh on people doing that over here.

What's the biggest barrier to you realizing your dream of living in a tiny house?

I'm so in love with my current urban historical and quickly developing area that I have decided to wait to see if a community develops in Oak Cliff or if laws change that allow me to build tiny on my current property. I'll continue to follow the group, stay in touch and keep my fingers crossed.

Introduction

Trying to free myself to live a life of my own choosing and as close to debt free as possible. Still trying to sift through lots of options.
