Kayaking The Trinity
The Trinity River is a 710-mile long river that is the longest river that flows entirely within the U.S. state of Texas. It rises in extreme north Texas, a few miles south of the Red River. The headwaters are separated by the high bluffs on the south side of the Red River. We are just floating a few miles in North Texas
The Plan: We can take our time paddling, eat our lunch on the go, and enjoy the scenery. This trip starts off with the Rush of water from Lewisville Lake. Experience the initial riffles of the clear cool water and rocky bottom. The fun continues and the pace slows on this 4 mile trip to the first take-out at Hebron Parkway in Lewisville, Tx. Bring your water proof camera as this trip is full of photo opportunities. Approximately 4-6 hrs.
(beginners are more than welcomed to come/ this is an easy going route)
