The Chinese Lantern Festival has returned to Dallas after a successful first year! Join us and marvel at these stunningly beautiful displays of art! This year's event features 17 new scenes, an acrobat show, crafts, and both Chinese & Western food options.
An exhibit specialist will be available to speak with us about how the lanterns are designed, made, and assembled. This talk will likely be in Mandarin. So, if you are a native Mandarin speaker with advanced English skills or a native English speaker with advanced Mandarin skills, this is a perfect opportunity to practice translations! Let us know if you are interested in getting involved in this way.
If there are at least 20 people in our group, we will pay the discounted group rate: $15/person (a $7/person savings!). Please bring $15 in cash, since we will need to pay for all the tickets at the same time.
Parking: Fair Park Gate #5, off of Grand Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
There may be a fee (around $15) to park, so you might consider car-pooling.
We will meet at the front entrance (look for someone holding up a sign for our group). Please arrive by 6:30pm.
Because this is an outdoor event with electrical equipment, in the event of bad weather, a rain date will be scheduled. Not sure if we're still on? Check this posting for updated information. (We will only post if it has been cancelled.)
Hope to see you all there!
