let's watch Cousin Cousine (1975) at the Magnolia in Dallas

This is a French classic from the Avant Garde era of filmmaking....

Two distant cousins meet at a wedding banquet for an elderly couple. Over time, a close friendship develops between them, but their spouses begin to think that they are more than just friends.

We'll stay afterward in the lounge upstairs to discuss the movie.  Hope you can come!

Tickets are $10 or $8.50 for students & seniors.

_________

After the film we can meet to discuss it at the Starbucks just up the road, half a block west.

Did not care for the film but I enjoyed the group discussion at the end and especially the discussion with fellow Classic Movie Fan members.

I enjoyed the gathering and discussion and also seeing the film in French. The organizer Nancy gathered everyone before and after the showing. The film itself was pretty frothy, and dated, but the 2 protagonists were sympathetically played. It's a comedy was based on stereotypes and infantile characters, and a send up of French mores.
