2nd Annual State of Search Conference

Join us in November for the State of Search Conference, the premiere search marketing conference in the south, put on by the DFW Search Engine Marketing Association. Last year’s conference was a smashing success, and this year we’re growing. We’ll be featuring four concurrent tracks covering SEO, PPC, and Social Media Marketing, all featuring industry experts from around the country.

Tactics and tips from beginner to advanced will give you actionable steps to help improve your online marketing campaigns, whether you’re in-house, agency, or on your own.

We are also excited to announce that Rand Fishkin of Moz will be our opening keynote speaker. The event will also host a list of of sought after speakers from across the U.S. who will blow you away with content that has never been heard before in North Texas. Space is limited, and we expect that the event will sell out quickly.

Back in 2011, State of Search was a one night thing and that was amazing. I wasn't able to make it in 2012, and missed out on the fun. This year, I was blown away by the amount of high quality information. There were so many tracks it was hard to choose. Highlights for me were the psychographics capabilities of Facebook, handy services for making local more manageable, an unexpected but very insightful talk about company management by Rand Fishkin of Moz. I really like Moz's management structure and how they equally compensate those who manage tasks and manage people. He's right you shouldn't have to move into management in order to get higher pay increases. I also liked Duane Forrester's comment on just how big Bing's data centers are. How big are they? They have to call O'Hare airport to re-route planes when they vent the heat out the roof. Whoooooaaah... Props to Greg Gifford for taking point and the other officers for making this happen. Looking forward to State of Search 2014.
