Automated Acceptance Testing Tools - Wherefore Art Thou?

Automated testing is a key technical practice for agile-minded teams. Automated unit testing and testing user interfaces has been well supported for years.

Acceptance Criteria, those important adornments to user stories, however, has not been as fully supported. There is high interest and energy in this area by the community, resulting in tools and ideas like RSpec, Gherkin, SpecFlow, etc.

Come see an offering from Improving's own Ian Henehan that might be bleeding edge.

Great talk on an important topic. A little hard to hear from the wings though. Amazing crowd!

I like the concept of driving quality into your software thru automated unit and acceptance testing. It can go a long way to shortening the overall QA process. This gives testers the bandwidth to focus on business logic/value rather than does it do the base things right.

Gary did great calibrating us on Acceptance Test. It was interesting to see how Ian's tool could present testing data to the business and allowing even further visibility to acceptance.
