July's Manayunk sub group topic will be how to buy bank owned properties (otherwise known as REO - Real Estate Owned).
Networking and ordering of food & drinks begins at 6:30 PM, with the formal part of the
meeting beginning around 7:00 PM.
Our guest speaker will be Deborah Nye - DIG member since 2008 and leader of the Delaware County Sub Group since 2012.
First an investor, then an agent, "Realtor Extraordinaire" Deborah gets-the-deal- done. Nye bought her first investment property in 2008 and has since more than quadrupled her monthly income from rentals. As an agent with the ability to "think outside the shoebox" she has helped buyers and sellers complete transactions from 30K to over 1.5 million.
She actively works the distressed market both as a buyer and as an agent, and is currently involved in several renovation projects, one of which will be her new primary residence. She has sold REO's, HUD, Fannie Mae properties, and actively looks for short sales.
Deborah is licensed with Elfant Wissahickon Realtors which has one of the largest REO divisions in the city. She will explain the foreclosure process, how a property becomes an "REO" property, what it means, and how to benefit from the distinction.
Please remember to bring your deals, as well as your DIG membership cards.
First time guests are always welcome!
