Run For The Wall

We will be greeting & handing out sandwiches & Hugs to our Wonderful Veterans. The location is the TA truck stop on Watt Road....up the hill on the right (I40 exit #369). A Huge American Flag will be flying along with the POW/MIA flag. The Riders are due at 9:45. Please arrive well before then, if you arrive after 9:30 do not park at the truck stop. Parking alone Watt Road will be at your own risk & please do not park in front of the truck stop...this is where all the greeters will be standing & waving flags. Try to carpool if you can...maybe meet on Campbell Station Road.

If you cannot make it to the truck stop you can go to any overpass along the I40 corridor & wave a flag as they pass under. It is a sight to see! They will leave the truck stop at 10:45 am & they will be heading East toward their next stop in Greenville.

We hope to see you Wednesday!

Absolutely meaningful, fun, moving, worthwhile. I'm so glad to have had the first opportunity to be a part of the sharing of the sandwiches we make and see all of the veterans involved.

I was happy to see our own "FNGs" at the event today! There was more press, more civilian presence, more PBJs and more hugs than ever. I ran into many riders who were happy to see us again. I guess we can call them our "regulars"! To all who helped make the sandwiches and/or donated $ and to those who came to Watt Rd today, I hope you know the impact you made and how much those guys appreciate your contribution.

A true sight to see. No words could tell the true story of all that is brought together on a run like this.

What time are we meeting at Ginger's house tomorrow evening? And is there anything else we need to bring in addition to a cooler, and some wine?

Hello Lori! When you come to the event Wednesday morning, look for us in pink t-shirts. We will be near the "water trailer". Looking forward to meeting you!

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the Run for the Wall event on Wed morning. I will be going out of town, but I can come and help prepare the sandwiches and share some wine on Tuesday evening!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
