Girls in the Garage

For November, we'll join the Gasoline Girls for one of their "Girls in the Garage" events.

The Gasoline Girls are a So Cal Motor Club with a common passion: things with Gasoline!! Their primary goal is to learn as much as they can about keeping their cars and motorcycles on the road and rolling strong. They're powered-up about encouraging and inspiring other ladies to become knowledgeable and hands-on as well and have invited us to learn with them.

This hands-on event will focus on body work and everyone will have a chance to use hammer and dollies to bang out dings in car panels as well as some other body work going on for some of the club's classics.

I'm near the Grove (Beverly/Fairfax) and can offer a ride to anyone in the area or if you want to meet around here. Let me know. Looking forward to banging on cars!

This sounds perfect. I have a 1971 Jeepster Commando that needs some help.

    Hi Lauren,

Great, hope you do make it. I'm sure one of the Gasoline Girls can help you with your exhaust pipe.

sounds really cool - hope I can make it! I'm a big fan of hammers, rounded wood blocks and bondo - but if there are better alternatives then please teach me! Oh and BTW, anyone know how to repair a hole in the exhaust pipe? I am used to metal works but only with a fully functional metal shop - need some DIY help :-)

No, not at all! The women in the car club are and they're teaching us the basics. No experience needed
