The "N" World: A Discussion on Being An iNtuitive

Have you ever easily seen a resolution to a problem when everyone around you just doesn't get it?

Have you ever just known something or been able to quickly deduce a conclusion and haven't been able to explain to your colleagues how it came to you?

Do you enjoy pondering the "big picture", abstract concepts, or future possibilities more than the present situation, concrete solutions, or details?

Ever been in a conversation where someone is ruminating on minutiae and you are thinking, "Yeah, but what is the point?"

Welcome to the "N" World...

Being an iNtuitive in a Sensing World.

Often our events discuss introversion, but the "N" in Meyers Briggs, Intuition, deserves special consideration.  Being an "N" comes with its own adventures in perception.   For many of us "N"s, the ability to deduce or create solutions out of amorphous or disparate information is a special gift that often just can't be explained.  It is not uncommon that many of us are left with the feeling of being an outlier, especially among Sensor (S) colleagues and friends.  Having "N" super powers comes with advantages...  Many of us find success using a "sixth sense" to solve problems and come up with winning ideas.

So come out and join us for food, fun and an a budding conversation on being an iNtuitive in a Sensing World.

I'm so sorry, I'm unable to make it! Sorry it's so last minute, traffic is bad and I'm still very far out.

Apologies for doing this last minute but looks like I'm going to have to work late. If I can get out at a reasonable time I'll stop by. Will definitely be at the Teaism get together.

I think I'll be a bit late. For some reason I thought this started at 7-
I can't leave from work until 6. See you as soon as I can get there.

change of venue also makes it difficult for me to come. hope you all have fun!

All things considered, would a public library conference room be a suitable meetup location?

    • Kimbers

Hi Chantel - I think that is great idea. We have thought of having a topic event once a quarter, so it would be wonderful to have access to a meeting space that would accommodate a group of 30 or more without having to worry about being @ a restaurant.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to go to Alexandria as well. :( For those who do go, enjoy it, it should be enlightening!

Sounds like fun, but I can't make it. Enjoy!

Makes it difficult for me, too :( Thanks for looking around for other places Kimbers!! I will try to think of venues further north for future events - I'm in MD, closer to Baltimore and keep missing out due to distance.

Busboys and Poets would not confirm a reservation for our group and multiple organizations had bought events at the restaurant on the same night. I was told point blank that it would be highly improbable that the whole group would be able to sit together - especially since the loft was purchased that night. I have been looking for another restaurant that would that would work for this event for over a week. This is a very busy week for groups in DC due to the Cherry Blossoms. For situations such as these, I am always open to hearing recommendations that can be acted upon.
