I didn't connect with anyone, but was impressed with what I saw and experienced. Very, very cool. Thanks for suggesting and hosting, Kristen!

I attended and had s ball. Sorry I could not meetup with the group but found value in being informed about such an event I would not otherwise know about. Thank you!

My apologies to anyone who was unable to locate me. I had 4 people meet me between 1 and 1:30, then I went to see the exhibits. Internet access was pretty poor so was unable to post updates of where I was. I hope everyone who went enjoyed themselves!

I got 2 books signed by Michio Kaku--another high point was a deep conversation at the South Pole exhibit--awesome, awesome, awesome!!!

Hi Kristen - I couldn't find y'all (surprise!) but was glad I attended.

Awesome! Interactive displays, presentations, and lots of fun.

I got there at about 3pm, an event this big it's hard for us to meet all at once. I did enjoy the many vendors they had. Most of it seems to be for the kids but there were some more adult vendors too.

Thanks for organizing this, Kristen! I'll likely arrive around 3pm, and hope to catch up with everyone at the Mike Rowe event.

I am dressed so here's my outfit to look for: Light blue tee, black skirt. I'm very tall, wear glasses, and my hair is longer than in the picture.

I will already be there for another event. But let me know if you guys are doing something after.

Hi, great fellows :). Do we have a contact number to call/text once we get there? I suspect that there will be lots of people attending the event and it will be hard to find the group..

I like the balloon idea.. It might be one of the more cost-effective methods also

      April 25, 2014

    • Kristen S.

Not sure if a balloon is allowed on metro or in the convention center, but I'll see what I can do!

Hi everyone! Sending a message to all "yes" RSVPs so be sure to check the e-mail that you have linked to Meetup.
At an event this size, it's not realistic for us to all meet and hang out together but I hope those of us that want to can at least touch base.
I plan to be at the Mike Rowe event at 3 and the They Might Be Giants concert at 4. They are both on the same stage so I hope to get a seat early and just stay through both of them.
I put the Meetup start time at 1 pm so no one has to get up early, but I hope to be there sooner. I'll post a 1 pm meeting spot when I get there and see how it looks.

I have a schedule conflict Saturday morning but plan to attend 3-6pm and again on Sunday. Thanks for letting me know about this event, awesome!

Thanks for letting us know about this!

Oh, did I mention that They Might Be Giants are playing 2 free shows on Saturday? That alone is reason enough to go.

More info posted as it becomes available. The event is all weekend, but I hope to have more info on what's there and when.
