The DMV Pin-Up Photography Meetup Group Message Board › Need a Copyright or Trademark Lawyer?
Lawyers for the Creative Arts provides free legal service to all areas of the arts— the visual, performing, entertainment, literary, arts education and more. We help individuals as well as for-profit and not-for-profit organizations with business issues, contracts, copyrights, trademarks and many other legal areas.
Volunteer Lawyers for The Arts Legal Services program is the central focus of our activities and resources. The program includes a wide range of services including: the Art Law Line, a legal hotline; the VLA Legal Clinic for VLA members; in-house appointments with VLA staff attorneys; and pro bono placements for low-income artists and nonprofit arts organizations with one of over 1,200 volunteer attorneys.
Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts began in 1983 as a unique collaboration of lawyers and artists to fulfill a mission to serve artists in need of legal knowledge and assistance. Since then, WALA has supported artistic expression and creative innovation serving the legal needs of the arts and cultural communities in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Maryland Lawyers for the Arts - Our mission is to provide high-quality legal services to low-income artists and non-profit arts organizations. Our lawyers take on cases for artists like they would any other client, subject to all of the ethical and other requirements of any attorney-client relationship. Clients must meet certain income requirements to qualify for representation, and there is a small administrative fee. We want to help you overcome legal barriers that limit your ability to create, distribute or profit from your creativity.
Please added to the list if you know someone, firm or an organization.
