This is a group for people passionate about helping support dog rescue groups in the Bay Area, our feature rescue group is Doggie Protective Services. We want to help place dogs in foster homes, work adoption days, find ways to educate the general public on the importance of spay and neuter. If you love dogs, have always been aware of the problems but didn't know how to help, join us and together we can make a difference. We don't have all the answers so we look for members to contribute ideas... please help stop pet over population.

America is in the midst of a pet over-population crisis which results in the senseless death of millions of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats each year. Of the 6 to 8 million dogs and cats that enter America's shelters each year, 3 to 4 million are euthanized. Shelters struggle to accommodate the endless stream of dogs and cats that arrive daily at their door. Underfunded and overwhelmed, all too often they are left with no choice but to euthanize thousands of perfectly healthy and loving dogs and cats each day.

We intend to save as many abandoned, abused and neglected dogs as possible, provide them with a loving secure environment in which to rehabilitate their souls and rekindle their spirits, and then find them appropriate forever homes with owners who will love and cherish them for the remainder of their lives. Since our inception in 2001, we have saved hundreds of unwanted dogs, most of them facing euthanasia in overcrowded shelters in the Southern California communities of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
