I first moved to DTLA in 1993, which drew me here because of the quiet; the solitude; the starkness of the streets; and the creative energy. While most of DTLA has transformed into something otherwise, I find myself going to those secret places I discovered years ago to commune in nature among the high rises; where other Angelenos who domiciled elsewhere could or would never know about or find even if they took a wrong turn, heading into the heart of Skid Row instead of westward when leaving a concert at the Music Center.
ARTS DISTRICT (of course!)
LOL ... I know TOO much, even where the bodies are buried :) ... Love to share everything I know about Downtown Los Angeles and the Arts District.

I love Downtown Los Angeles, especially the Arts District. I look for nature in usual and unusual places, near and far. I walk, I hike, I bike, I write, and I photograph my excursions that I share daily, including on www.instagram.com/DowntownMuse.
