Come join Downtown Women Connections and our group of amazing women for our “Kris Kringle Holiday Bash” filled with networking, food, cocktails, and meaningful conversations. Women supporting & encouraging women…
Trimmed and decorated for the holidays and located in downtown near Newburyport Waterfront Park, we are pleased to thank Exit Realty for graciously hosting us in their nautical, cool historical space. Indulge in food and drinks while shopping and supporting our members who are selling their holiday crafts and highlighting their entrepreneurial businesses!
We only have a limited number of tables available for sale (10) for $30 a table. We’d prefer to focus on members who want to showcase handcrafted items and gifts; however, we are opening up the tables on a first come first serve basis for the evening to support our entrepreneurs. Contact me directly (617)[masked] if you’d like to purchase a table! We will have an extra table available to share business cards and marketing material. So come ready and prepared…
In continuation of our support to For Such a Time Ministries, we will be collecting your $10 donation at the door and please bring any of the following for Project LOVE to combat exploitation/sex trafficking and to let women know that someone cares. One way is Project LOVE - bringing gifts to women with the message that You Are Loved…no strings attached. Gift ideas include: jewelry, nail polish, note cards (but not thank you cards), lipstick, makeup, lotions, body sprays, scarves, soaps, and candles, etc. We hope you will join us in making this contribution or support us with a $20 donation instead.
Aside from the introductions to each other, we are exited to have Beth Gandleman leads us in a presentation - Assertiveness Training for Sales: Understanding Behavior Styles to Increase Revenue.
People generally fall into four behavior styles. Understanding yours and a prospect’s similarities and differences will help you to be more successful in sales and in developing relationships in general.
This topic will include:
• What are the four behaviors styles?
• Why is assertiveness a positive way to communicate?
• Defining assertive, passive, and aggressive styles
• How do I practice assertiveness (even when I'm not feeling it)?
• Verbal and non-verbal language tips
• How to sell to people of all behavior styles
About the Speaker:
Beth Gandelman is a graduate of Boston University with a B.S. Degree in Education and Mass Communication and an M.S. Degree in Public Relations. She has taught this course for several years and her courses have been offered at senior, job placement and community centers throughout Massachusetts.
I look forward to seeing you for a fun-filled Holiday Bash including raffles and giveaways, Networking, Shopping, Encouragement & Support. Let’s get ready for a great 2014 ahead!
