Creative Nonfiction Writers

This  meetup is for new and experienced creative nonfiction writers committed to supporting and learning from one other.

On the second Monday of each month, 3-4 writers read from a work-in-progress and receive helpful critique from empathetic peers.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in "Show and Tell" in which we take a minute or two to share piece of published writing we like, or a book or other resource on the craft of writing, and tell what we're working on these days.

We ran out of time in March, so at the April meetup we will also discuss Resurrecting the Champ by J.R. Moehringer at the LA Times. Participants are encouraged to to read it beforehand so we can compare notes, and then learn what another published writer had to say on Harvard's Nieman Storyboard (don't look before the meetup! the idea is to do our own thinking first). Here's the URL:

Writers interested in reading their work should contact Michael ahead of time. A free-will donation of $2 will be happily accepted to cover the room rental.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
