Hi Joyce, I am going to to the walk at Duke on Sunday. If you go, we may arrange something for next week. Anyway, let's keep in touch.
Hi Joyce, I am not familiar with the Duke trails. I would like to walk there. I know the museum. I am available most of the afternoons.
Let's see if we get together there some day.
Thanks, Joyce. It was a heady, almost religious experience when I got the email. The story comes out in the January 2013 edition of the NC Literary Review. See you at future CNF meetings!
Hello Joyce. I too have signed up and am taking the "A History of the World since 1300" course on Coursera as well. The opportunity that the internet presents for courses like these from top universities is so exciting and valuable. I would love to attend the upcoming meetup, but need to make sure that I will be able to make it before committing. Sounds like it will be stimulating, dynamic and fun.
Appreciate the welcome. I should have asked before I signed up: Will this class be scheduled for after-work hours?
Welcome, Joyce! While most of our members have young kids, I love to see folks like you join as well! I'm sure you have lots of wisdom and insight to offer, both as a seasoned parent and from your professional experience. Please don't hesitate to ask questions, suggest event ideas, etc., as this is a very collaborative group. Thanks and hope to meet you soon!
Hi! I've gone to both the day and the evening Durham Writers Meetup several times, with mixed feelings. The evening one takes place at the New Hope Commons Barnes & Noble, not too bad. I am in a supportive, positive writing group in Hillsborough. I recommend TWA, they will be doing prompt exercises in Raleigh next meeting. The leader and group is good. Prompt writing is highly valuable, IMO. Also, you make friends and maybe exchange writing via email, etc. Hope to see you at an event.
Hi Joyce! Welcome! I started the process you are beginning a couple years ago, have been enjoying a new, creative life. Would love to compare notes, share my enthusiasm, encourage your continued efforts. -Ron
