You can see the terrier in Delaney! Never know with puppies what gene will show up from parents, grandparents, etc.

I thought I'd have this waiting in your inbox for you on this lovely Friday morning....

Mama Meela and her 5 week old puppies....

Meela and her "mini-me" Teegan

Delaney and Murphy

Fiona and Finn

Some of the legs are longer than others, while some of the noses aren't growing as fast....  It's kind of fun watching to see who has more doxie (Teegan) and who has more terrier (Delaney).... (And I'm kind of wondering if a black lab snuck in there with the way Murphy is turning out! )

To top that off, Rudy, the doxie that was attacked by a malamute and taken in by HUA has been released from the vet!

Doesn't he just look like the sweetest little guy?  HUA says:

"It has been nearly a week since HUA took over the care of Rudy. Here is a picture of Rudy today (he was released from the vet and made his way to HUA yesterday). He is on the road to recovery and we want to thank everyone for the great support!"

Way to hang in there and fight Rudy!  And forget that family that wasn't attached to you, b/c there's plenty of people out there that love you!!!

When it rains, it pours!

HUA took over vet care for another little doxie named Beckham (they just can't say no to the wieners!) who is suffering from kidney stones. A family brought in a 3 year old dachshund who was blocked with stones. Beckham could pass no urine and was in shock. He was not neutered and had never been to the vet. The family wished to surrender him and HUA was called.

The stones appear to all be in his wee wee (so technical of me), so he will have them surgically removed tomorrow. The staff was able to get a catheter passed through and the urine was draining out. He is on IV pain meds and fluids to make him more comfortable until the surgery can be done.

So send some prayers out to Beckham for a successful surgery!

Have a fun weekend and send some prayers out to little Beckham!

Thanks so much!
