Cheri,

This is the best reason of all to be on this list. I was just saying I have to go out and get some mulch to cover some of the muddy areas in my backyard, I was going to spray bitter apple on it to keep my girls from eating it. I have never heard of this cocoa mulch. I'm going to go the website and see about this. THANK YOU so much for this information, I remember finding out about sugarless gum being poison to dogs on here, I had never heard of that either. I just want to stress the importance of our sharing information here, it can save lives, the lives of our precious dogs!

> Just a quick note of warning about cocoa mulch!  I just read on the joyful paws web-site that the product cocoa mulch sold at most garden centers (Lowe's, Target, etc) doesn't have a warning on it, but can be fatal to dogs and cats. As the name suggests it contains cocoa and smells good  so dogs are drawn to it, and if ingested can die within 24 hrs.  For more info check today's blog on the joyful paws website.
