Re: [dachshund-427] Fun activities this weekend and next

I want to correct a typo I missed the first 50 times I read through my email before sending it!  It's Wag N Train TERRIER Rescue, not Wag n Train DOG Rescue.  :(  Can't believe I missed that.  I think I was too busy thinking about how I'm going to trick the dogs into going outside to potty (and muddy paws!) to catch it!  Sorry!

Happy Hump Day!

I bet you are all wishing you had the wiener umbrella and doxie raincoat set right about now, huh?  Remember it will be in the Wiener Themed Basket at the Spring Terrier Games on Sat May 3!

Speaking of events...there are several fun activities coming up on the schedule!  Here's a brief rundown for the next 2 weekends:

This Sat:

Spring Bark in the Park

Omaha Dog Park fundraiser

  • Sat, 4/26
  • 10 am-3 pm
  • Hefflinger Dog Park (112th and maple)
  • $10 per dog, goodies bag included with paid admission.

Over 50 Booths, including games for the dogs and owners to play, raffles, pet friendly businesses and area rescues, too.

All breeds welcome.  All dogs must be on leash. Always a fun event for the whole family.

This Sun:

Paws in the Garden

Potting Shed Gifts and Garden Center

  • Sun, 4/27
  • 1-4 pm
  • Potting Shed (153 and Q St)
  • Free admission for everyone

Bring your dogs to come play in the fenced garden while you visit with local dog rescues (including HUA) and vendors (like Dapper Dog!)  Fun free event outside for everyone to enjoy!  Come by the Dapper Dog table and say hello!

Next Sat:

Spring Terrier Games

Wag N Train Dog Rescue

  • Sat, 5/3
  • 12:30-3 pm
  • Chalco Hills (Omaha)
  • $5 admission, dogs and kids under 10 free

Fun for the whole family!  Activities for kids and dogs, food, raffles, doggie kissing booth, dog rescues, vendors (like Dapper Dog!) and so much more!  It's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and all proceeds go to dog rescue!

Stop by the Dapper Dog table and say hi!

Also next Sat for our Fremont fans:

Bark for Life Walk

Sponsored by the American Cancer Society Relay for Life

  • Sat, 5/3
  • Johnson Lake, in Fremont, Ne
  • Registration begins at 8:30 am, opening ceremonies at 9:00, closing ceremonies at noon.

Lots of fun activities in addition to the Walk itself, including prize drawings, and it supports a great cause!

In fact, you could go to the walk in the morning, then stop at the Terrier Games on your way home in the afternoon!  What a fun filled day that would be!  (And just how tired would your pups be!)

Do you know what time it is?

You would know what time it is if you won the dachshund clock in the Wiener Themed Basket at the Spring Terrier Games on May 3!

I'm thinking it's time for another cup of coffee....and you could have one in this wiener travel mug also in the Wiener Themed Basket at the Terrier Games.

~Just a little sneak peek of what is in that Wiener Themed Basket....there is more fun stuff, so you won't want to miss the chance of entering the drawing!  Remember, Spring Terrier Games, Chalco Hills, Sat, May 3, 12:30-3 pm!

Have a great day and keep those wieners dry!
