Snowshoe Ft. Lincoln

We will meet in the visitors' parking lot which is on the right about 1/4 of a mile in from the south entrance. We will snowshoe for 2-3 hours depending on the snow conditions and the weather. You are welcome to join us for a shorter time as it is easy to leave the main trail and return to your vehicle. If you are a skier, you might want to bring your skis to attempt the south loop. With enough people we can have skiers and snowshoers, and fast and slow groups. Those new to snowshoeing are welcome. We have a couple pairs of snowshoes to lend out. Make sure you request a pair when you RSVP. Snowshoes can be rented from 10AM to 5PM at the Riverwood Golf Course for $7.

There is a park entrance fee ($5). You can purchase an annual pass ($25) here or at the Parks and Recreation office in Bismarck, 1600 E. Century Avenue, Suite 3. You may check out a pass from the Bismarck or Mandan public libraries, From Main Street in Mandan, follow state park signs taking 6th Ave (State Highway 1806) heading south 6 miles. Turn left off highway at State Park sign and enter park (fee area). Meet in the Visitors Center parking lot.

We do have some flex to our starting time. If you are committed to joining us and sign up as our first participant, we will shift the time to accommodate you.

Looking forward to snowshoeing tomorrow. It could be a little warm for "some" of us, but we will manage. :). Let me know if you would like to carpool.

Not sure yet if I can go but I think I can. If I go we should definitely carpool. I will let you know.

He should come, but his Christmas gift to me is finishing remodeling our bathroom which has been a 3 year project. I think he's still going to be working on it on the 26th, so I'm not encouraging other activities :) Hopefully when that is done he will join us more.
