AA.com’s Agile Transformation

This month we're extremely fortunate to have Misty Shafer Sterne, Director of Software Delivery for AA.com at American Airlines, share how her organization transitioned from waterfall to Agile development; successfully scaling scrum from 5 teams to a large 25 team agile program. Members of the Dallas ALN will have an opportunity to see, before the rest of the world, the presentation Misty's been invited to give at the Global Scrum Gathering in Berlin in September.

Our Speaker:

Misty Shafer Sterne is currently Director of Software Development at AA.com. With a strong technical background, Misty has risen in the ranks from Systems Analyst at Perot Systems to Lead Application Architect at AA.com to her current position leading development for a major dot-com. Dynamic and charismatic, Misty exemplifies what it means to be an inspiring servant leader.

Excellent session! Thanks Misty for taking time to share your journey with our community. Organizations are going to have their own journey, but you gave us lot of ideas to think about. All the best for your future presentations!

Misty told a story that resonated with many of us in the room. We learned a lot from her experiences--with the understanding that your mileage may vary.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
