The author, Dale McGowan, is a popular and prolific writer on secular parenting as well as atheism and ethics in modern society. He has also written both the books Parenting Beyond Belief and Raising Freethinkers. He writes the popular blog The Meming of Life and is the founder of the secular humanitarian charity organization Foundation Beyond Belief.

Note: Unfortunately, this book is not scheduled for release until March 15. However, most of the "Dummies" books are very fast reads.­
