Village Life in Urban Dallas: Intro to Cohousing

Imagine that:

  • You know your neighbors.
  • You own your own home.
  • Your kids always have someone to play with, and always have a babysitter available.
  • You live sustainably, with a small carbon footprint.
  • You share some meals, laundry and work space, pool, garden, maybe even a car.
  • You age in place, that is, stay in your home as long as possible.

All these, and more, are possible in cohousing, a return to village life, in which owner-residents design and manage their own community.

We'll show a short slideshow explaining cohousing.

And we'll tell you a bit about the vision of Dallas Cohousing in particular, to retrofit an existing building in urban Dallas.

We have targeted property close to downtown Dallas, in the Cedars neighborhood. Room for 10-12 households!

Hi Angela, thank you for answering my previous question. Will this meeting on February 10 will be different from the one we attended at the beginning of January? We saw the intro to Cohousing and after the meeting you had another meeting with investors only.

I ask because there is a meeting at CSL from 1pm to 3pm.

I am very interested in buying a condo once a property is bought.

Please let me know if this meeting will be different and it is important to attend. Thank you!

This is an intro to the idea of cohousing: the same presentation you attended.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
