Dallas Content Strategy is proud to present Kristina Halvorson Tuesday July 10th, 2012! If you were ever going to attend our meetup, but just haven't had a chance to make it out, you DO NOT want to miss this one! Kristina is THE preeminent authority on the topic of Content Strategy, she literally wrote the book. We will have limited seating for the event, so make sure you RSVP!
Kristina Halvorson is the founder and president of Brain Traffic, a content strategy consultancy. She is the author of Content Strategy for the Web; Content Strategy for the Web: Second Edition; the founder of Confab, The Content Strategy Conference; and the host of Content Talks, a weekly 5x5 podcast.
Kristina is widely recognized as the industry’s leading advocate for content strategy. Her article “The Discipline of Content Strategy” (December 2008) was one of the first internationally-published articles on the topic. In 2009, she curated the first Content Strategy Consortium (as part of the IA Summit). In 2010, she delivered the keynote address at the world’s first Content Strategy Summit in Paris, France. Today, her work continues to shape and drive the global content strategy conversation.
Kristina lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with her two children, whom she often quotes on Twitter (@halvorson).
We usually have a presentation on a CS related topic, followed by a Q&A with presenter. Members are encouraged to ask questions and contribute, we are all here to learn.
This meeting will be held at A Loft in Downtown Dallas - 1033 Young Street Dallas, TX 75202. Everyone that will be attending, please be sure to get there on time, as we will start the meeting promptly at 7:00pm. Don't be late!
First time out. Loved the interaction. Nice to have a presentation that is interactive. Very engaged audience with good questions that Kristina did a great job answering. And the fun meeting new folks is always a treat.
By the way, here's some photos I took from the evening: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gr...![]()

Awesome meeting! Great content and it was a pleasure meeting you folks. I mentionned that law firms and their solution providers may be great resources for guidance on how to manage content. They do so daily and are legally required to do so to support litigation. Houston based Sfile is an example of one (of MANY) such provider that started as a hosted legal ediscovery solution provider and expanded into content management for companies of all sizes - http://www.sfile.com/explore.ht...

This was such a great meetup! I learned so much, met so many new professionals and surprisingly many job positions were offered to several first comers. The Dallas CS meetups get better and better with each meetup. Thank you for such a great evening once again!

Enjoyed the presentation. Thought the message was very good. Liked the Q&A format. Thanks for hosting. And, thank you Brian Sullivan for paying my way since I didn't bring any cash. You are awesome!

Kristina was very nice and decided to do an informal Q&A which lasted 2 and half hours. She took the time to help everyone in the room who wanted it and enlightened us all on how to problem solve with CS in our daily jobs and lives whether you are a developer, consultant, in house person or even looking to hire content strategist. It was a great presentation and everyone who attended was there to learn. It was a great dynamic.

Great presentation! Kristina kept it real about content strategy. Also, there was a great turn out and it was a privilege to meet so many influencers on my very first meet up. Thank you!

The meetup was amazing. Kristina is a fantastic presenter and had great antidotes and info related to the questions. Steve and his crew ran a smooth event.
I am looking forward to the meeting in August.

I thought Kristina was great. She was funny and insightful. I thought she made great points about where to begin and how to get buy-in.

The beginning was kind of so-so, but things picked up towards the end, where Kristina made a very valid point. Content Strategy is nothing new. In order for it to work there must be collaboration between those that preached its message, and were turned away with those who are hearing the content strategy call to action for the first time.

Kristina made some great points and provided clarity on a variety of topics surrounding Content Strategy for the group. Thanks to everyone that attended, stay tuned...
