Triathlon Training Swim and Run

Let's meet at Oak Point Center swim, then go for a run. We can go outside if the weather is nice and run over on the trails at Oak Point Nature Preserve or indoors on the track if it is still cold and wet. It costs $6.00 if you do not have a membership. There are also weights and workout equipment if anyone wants to do some toning after the run.

    I normally swim 3 sets of 300 meters (sprint distance swim) with drills in between. Takes about 45 minutes. The run will depend on whether we can be outside or not. Outside a 5K is the plan. Inside I may only be able to take about 2 miles which is 30 laps of the track. Just too boring but maybe not with company. :)

    How long of a swim and run? I really want to do a tri someday. I'm a terrible swimmer. I can swim and I won't drown, but it ain't pretty! Haven't swam in a while but last time I was swimming regularly, I got up to a 1/2 mile (slowly). Running is a challenge but improving quickly as I improve my fitness level. My hubs and I may be interested but I don't want to be the one slow poke if everyone else are seasoned triathletes.
