It was well organized, the course well marked, major intersections well covered, RBM had multiple active SAG vehicles, and the venue was fun. Only thing was the PA system was not loud enough to hear all the pre-start instructions.

RBM fixed my new bike by replacing a tire before the ride. I couldn't have done the ride without them. And, you're right, the course was well marked.

Thanks, Victoria. But I'm home and I think I'm just going to chill - had a busy morning. Kim and I did personal bests - longest rides yet for both of us. Lisa did 65 miles, too and, of course, it wasn't the first time she's been that far.

    MARVELOUS DAY, GREAT COMPANY
P.S. SAG is an acronym for "support and gear" or "support and grub".[

My wife and I will be doing the 38 but we will take our time since she hasn't been training for this distance. She hasn't gone over 30 this year. The other 2 going with us went the 16 + a few more and just turned around before the 38. It's the same route if you look at the map. You are welcome to ride with us.

I have a road bike; do I need a trail bike or a hybrid to participate?

    April 24, 2014

  • Robert B.

You can also get to the site by going through the RBM calendar.

I just signed up for the ride. Google wild ride for cancer and register online thru BikeReg.com. You must register before the 28th of April to get the t-shirt included in your fee. I believe that the price is $40.00 the day of the event with no t-shirt.

    April 24, 2014

  • mike

A road bike will be fine.

    April 24, 2014

I've done this one before. It is well organized, staffed, and the trails are well marked. It should be a lot of fun again. I believe this Sunday the rate goes up. See you there.
