This group is for people passionate about food! We will explore many of the international, eclectic and fun flavors Dallas has to offer at small family restaurants, unique chef-driven restaurants, artisan owned specialty shops, field trips to local markets and more!
We are a group of friends with vast experience in hosting amazing food events, supporting local restaurants and bringing people together! Lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hours or just desserts, as long as the food is good we are IN!! Our main rule? No chains!
We are thrilled you are joining us to have fun, eat great food and make new friends!
Because of the nature of this meetup (we make reservations and commit to the restaurant owners) please keep the option to receive emails from this group ON. You *need* to know if there is any changes or last minute announcements. We are very thoughtful and will not send tons of emails without need!
Please respect the other members and our restaurant owners. Please refrain from claiming a spot in every meetup unless you are certain you want to attend. Update your attendance in advance if you cannot make it. Keep track of wait list RSVP's as well, and update if you make other plans. We frequently have wait list "bump ups" due to adding another table, or cancellations.
Email the event host if you cannot attend a meetup at the last minute, or discover you have accidentally missed a meetup ("no show"). We're an understanding bunch - just reach out to explain and let us know you're mindful of the group.
After two no shows, if you are holding a spot in upcoming meetups with limited attendance, an organizer may decide to change your RSVP's to "not going". We will send you an email to discuss the circumstances. The third unexplained no show and you will be dropped from the group.
Frequent last-minute cancellations are also problematic, and organizers may contact you to discuss the circumstances. Regularly holding a spot just in case you might want to attend is "uncool".
There is no charge in this group. Your presence is all we need to make this group awesome!
Your organizers and hosts donate their time and the meetup fees. In exchange, we will endeavor to organize ways to voluntarily support local charitable organizations. More to come on that, but we're thinking North Texas Food Bank would be a great match for this group.
