Indian snack-food...yummy!

All vegetarian and ever so delicious!  Yes, I do know there's a closer one in Plano but this location is my first and favorite!  So, let's chaat...

And here's a fun bit of Wiki info:

Chaat (Hindi: चाट) is a term describing savoury snacks, typically served at road-side tracks from stalls or carts in India and Bangladesh.[1][2] With its origins in Uttar Pradesh, chaat has become immensely popular in the rest of India and the Indian Sub-continent. The word derives from Hindi cāṭ चाट (tasting, a delicacy), from cāṭnā चाटना (to lick), from Prakrit caṭṭei चट्टेइ (to devour with relish, eat noisily).  Uuum...with pleasure (that part is from Temree-Wiki)

No, I just walked out the front door and there it was, so I was still at my house. But thanks! :)

Sorry you could not join us yesterday. Hope your car problem got fixed; at least you were not stranded on the way to the event. Hope to see you at our next Indian restaurants event (we are doing a series on Indian food)

Thanks Megha for the initiative. Boring Irving got some life, otherwise we have to travel to Addison, Plano or Downtown to meet people.

Ravi, Irving is not boring ... there are plenty of places to go out to eat. We will pick one of the Irving places again after we rotate to Plano area.

It was worth the long drive. The people who did not show up missed out and are rude! The place is great, but hard to know exactly what you are ordering. That's why Megha was an awesome host. She help translate the menu for us and showed us how to order. The staff was also very patient and helpful. The food and drinks were great, but large servings for "snacks".

Almost all of the events are in Plano area, this gives a chance for mid cities members to be able to come.

Hello all, Seeing how this event is on the same Sunday as Oscar awards, what do you think about moving the event to 4 PM (1 hour early) so that we can finish with snacks and head back to watch the awards.

I agree Temree, this is my favorite place for chaat as well. Anyone feeling adventurous should definitely try their pani-poori! It is just like you get in India.
