Please join us Saturday, March 23 at 3:00 pm at the CEDAR RIDGE PRESERVE for a guided walk of the Little Bluestream Trail. Following the walk we will meet at Dario Crosetto’s home for a cookout/potluck. The Dallas Goethe Center will provide bratwurst, chicken, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You bring a salad, vegetables or a dessert. Dario will prepare home-made pasta for everyone. This event is free for DGC members. Non-members pay $10 (children $5) at the door to cover the cost of meat and beverages. If you play a musical instrument, bring it along. We will also show off our singing at karaoke.

If you cannot make it to the park, but would like to come to the cookout/potluck, come to Dario's house after 5:30pm. His address is 900 Hideaway Place - De Soto TX 75115 - Tel no:[masked]

I found the following items in my house after the party on Saturday March 23: red jacket, green jacket (K-way), black sweater, red T-shirt, dark blue umbrella. The owner can write to [masked] so I can arrange the delivery.

It was a fun party with wonderful food. I wish the weather would have been nicer, and we could have eaten outside. We missed the walk, too. It was soo muddy and wet.

I totally agree with Jenny's comments. It was a great party. Thank you Dario for hosting it. You are the best host and entertainer and you make the best home made spaghetti.

Great meetup. Jim Varnum was extremely knowledgeable on all birds and all flora found in the Preserve. We saw the first bluebonnets of Spring, poison ivy, yukka plants, and he made us appreciate the beauty in the smallest of flowers that we would normally ignore and step on.

Afterwards at the party - everyone was very relaxed, meeting new people and having a good time. Too many people to count. The rain stayed away for the duration of the event but it was cold and muddy so we huddled inside, perhaps meeting more people this way. Plenty of beer/wine, plenty of delicious and interesting food that people had brought plus lots of barbeque (bratwurst, chicken) from the Goethe Center, culminating in Dario's famous, incredibly delicious, homemade pasta. The evening ended with Karaoke in at least 5 languages. The last people left about 11:30 p.m.

Jim Varnum, Texas Master Naturalist did a great job in explaining flowers, plants, trees, native vegetation, etc. 23 people attended the trail walk and more than 60 people attended the cookout/potluck dinner at my house. The weather was not cooperative and so at the last minute we needed to change from an outdoor event to an indoor event, moving furniture to arrange seating for 70 people. I would like your comments on what you found most interesting, if you found it an interesting evening/experience of meeting people from different backgrounds and groups, the homemade pasta, etc.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
