The Libertarian Party of Dallas County is holding a special meeting at the West End Pub on Saturday, February 2, at 5:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting is the revision of our county bylaws to fix a problem with the rules governing e-mail voting for the executive committee. No candidates or party officers are being nominated/elected at the special meeting. This meeting is specifically to fix a bylaws issue, and I expect it to be brief.
CLICK HERE for a PDF document with a ROUGH DRAFT of the proposed bylaws language and a brief background on the problem we are trying to fix. Also CLICK HERE for our current full bylaws. A final draft of the proposed changes will be issued one week prior to the meeting after any revisions based on your feedback.
We would also like to invite you to attend our regular business meeting from 4:00-5:30 PM on the same day at the same location. Join us and find out what we are up to now that the election is over, learn about being a candidate in 2013 or 2014, and help us plan for outreach in Dallas County. There are also several executive committee vacancies if you have an interest in participating further.
See the Meetup event here.
These business meetings are a good excuse for us all to get together and have some fun. Come and join us for drinks and/or dinner after the business is concluded. As Kevin always says, you don't have to be a socialist to socialize! We look forward to seeing you!
