PUBLIC HEARING ON NEW PROPERTY TAX INCREASES
9:00 a.m.
Dallas City Hall, 6th Floor
Want even HIGHER PROPERTY TAXES? If so, you're in luck!
The Dallas City Council is considering property tax increases to cover city budget shortfalls. Town hall meetings held by various City Council Members have been filled mostly with city employees and other city budget interest groups demanding our taxes be increased during a deep recession. The city wants to avoid bureaucratic belt-tightening, the sort of responsible budget restraint we must employ every day.
The City Council can increase our taxes up to a nickel per $100 in valuation. Below is a quick review of where council members stand to date on tax increases:
District 1 Delia Jasso: Favors
