What we’re about
We are one of the first and largest nonprofit Interfaith meditation centers in North Texas, home to Meditation and Mindfulness (modeled in the style of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh), Chanting, Yoga, Taichi, Qigong, and other traditions of meditation and mindful living. All are welcome. Our practice is intentionally beginner friendly.
We have multiple Awakening Heart Community of Mindful Living gatherings each week. Beginners and visitors are always welcome. In addition, we hold numerous other events, workshops, concerts, retreats and gatherings.
Dallas Meditation Center is dedicated to wellness education, life enrichment and the art of mindful living.

Everyday Mindfulness – Cultivating Joy
This workshop is designed to explore easy ways to integrate meditation practices into your daily routine. Whether you’re completely new to mindfulness and meditation or have been exploring this path for many years, it’s always possible to learn or renew practices that inspire mindfulness.
We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels.
In a world that is fast-paced and busy, mindfulness shines a light on the path to finding freedom and joy in the present moment, even amidst life’s inevitable challenges. In this workshop, we will practice several types of mindfulness and meditation, engage in creative activities that foster our ability to live fully in the present moment and find ways to be mindful in our day-to-day activities – creating a deeper connection with the world around us.
Facilitated by Dallas Meditation Center directors Bobbie Perkins and Cornell Kinderknecht.
This workshop is for adults 18+. Practices will alternate between moments of movement, interaction, and quiet meditation. Chair and floor seating will be available. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned practitioner, you’re welcome to join us.
Investment: $50 for an individual or $90 for two people (bring a friend and enjoy savings).
