The Dallas-Plano Atheists Meetup - Gordon Biersch (Dallas)

Restaurant site: Gordon Boersch - Dallas

Menu link: GB Menu (not Dallas-specific)

As always, if the restaurant or timing or prices do not appeal, you can always come on out for just a beverage and some conversation.

OK, I've called in the reservation. Even at places like this where I know they can accomodate larger groups like us, even saying numbers as large as the current 22 is triggering the automatic "Hold on, I need to clear a group that size with my manager." That said, I'll probably bump the meetup max for the night to 32 again and they'll put us in the room off to the left just behind the glass behind the greeters.

What time do people generally leave? My work is running a little late tonight.

We're usually there until at least 9, sometimes even later!

Just FYI: Called to check and they have happy hour until 7. $4 beer and discount appetizers if you want to get there a little early. I'm cheap so I will probably try to get there around 6:30. Will have to check if there is specific area where prices apply (like bar).

What is the price range like?

    July 2, 2013

    • Philip

Prices are in the medium range (Yelp lists them as "$$" out of a possible 4), but as I just updated the description with the usual statement: come on down for just a beverage and conversation after dinner elsewhere or with family/etc.

Last time there was a beer sampler plate that seemed a bargain.

What is current best practice for parking as regards this location?

    July 2, 2013

    • Philip

I've always had good luck packing in the open lot that is just across the road outside the place. If needed there's a large (and free) parking garage between the building Gordon Biersch is in and the Whole Foods in the same complex (i.e., just to the SSE).

Joel - Anything in small amounts are usually tasty as long as he, er, I mean it, is not overcooked.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
